Russia’s Foreign Minister would pay an official visit to Türkiye on April 6-7, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Zakharova stated on Thursday that Lavrov would go to Türkiye at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
“It is planned to discuss a wide range of issues, especially the status of bilateral cooperation and expectations in the fields of mutual interest, including trade, energy, and tourism,” she revealed the agenda of the meeting.
She also said that international issues would be on the agenda, including Ukraine, Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Central Asia, and Afghanistan.
Efforts of holding bilateral meetings at various levels during Lavrov’s two-day visit are underway, added the spokeswoman.
Cavusoglu had previously met with his Russian counterpart in India’s capital New Delhi within the scope of the G20 meetings.
