Italy’s former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has tested positive for coronavirus, according to local media Wednesday.
HIS INFECTION HAS BEEN CONFIRMED
Berlusconi is isolated and is conducting work from his home near Milano after his infection was confirmed, according to reports that cited sources from his Forza Italia party.
Berlusconi’s doctor, Alberto Zangrillo, said he was asymptomatic and would remain in quarantine.
He also said the 83-year-old famous politician was tested after visiting Sardinia where the number of coronavirus cases have increased rapidly.
Italy’s far-right La Lega Party’s leader, Matteo Salvini, wished Berlusconi a speedy recovery.
