Over 1,700 new coronavirus cases and more than 1,000 recoveries were reported in Turkey on Monday.
The country’s overall infection count to date reached 281,509 with new 1,703 virus cases, wrote Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Twitter, citing Health Ministry data.
DEATH TOLL STANDS AT 6,730
Koca said 1,047 more patients recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 252,152. The death toll rose by 57 to reach 6,730, he added.
A total of 103,925 more coronavirus tests were done over the past day, pushing the total up to over 7.88 million.
The number of patients in critical condition stands at 1,118, the data showed.
Across the world, coronavirus has claimed almost 890,000 lives in 188 countries and regions since last December.
