Türkiye’s gateway to the world claims the top spot in Europe’s busiest airports with 1,525 daily flights
Türkiye’s Istanbul Airport was the busiest air hub in Europe from Aug. 21 – 27, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said Wednesday.
Uraloglu said the airport saw an average of 1,525 flights daily last week, citing data from the European Organization for Air Navigation Safety (Eurocontrol).
“Istanbul Airport recorded a growth of 118% among the top 20 busiest airports compared to the pre-pandemic period,” he wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.
