Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe throughout the year 2022 with an average of 1156 flights per day, according to Europe’s air-traffic control organization.
Eurocontrol published its comprehensive report for the last year regarding the number of flights from European airports.
Istanbul Airport was the only airport that caught the pre-pandemic flight numbers among the airports in the continent, according to the report.
The airport in question was followed by Amsterdam with 1140 daily flights, and Paris with 1122 flights.
Frankfurt recorded 1048 flights while London conducted 1042 flights.
