A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck central Indonesia on Sunday, according to Indonesian authorities.
NO PEOPLE WERE KILLED
The quake’s epicenter was 23 kilometers southeast of the central island of Sulawesi and 10 km below the surface, said the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG).
Initial reports suggested no people were killed or injured, and authorities did not sound a tsunami alarm. On Sept. 28, 2018, a 7.5 earthquake and resulting tsunami in Palu, Indonesia killed 4,340 people.
