Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,315.69 points on Friday, a slight rise of 0.20% or 2.67 points from the previous close.
BORSA ISTANBUL’S BIST 100 INDEX SEES 2.67 POINTS RISE FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At Thursday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.41% at 1,313.02 points, with a daily trading volume of 55.4 billion Turkish liras (nearly $7.3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 7.5900 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.5970 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose slightly to 9.0220 from 8.9800, while one British pound traded for 10.1050 Turkish liras, up from 10.0750.
