Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,304.70 points on Monday, rising 1.04% or 13.41 points from the previous close.
BIST 100 INDEX EARNS AROUND 13.4 POINTS FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At last week’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.54% at 1,291.29 points — all-time high close — with a daily trading volume of 31.4 billion Turkish liras ($4.11 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 7.6660 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.6920 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also fell to 9.0760 from 9.0890, while one British pound traded for 10.1550 Turkish liras, down from 10.1630.
