Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,156.74 points on Thursday, increasing 0.38% or 4.33 points from the previous close.
BIST 100 INDEX EARNS AROUND 4.3 POINTS FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At the previous close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 0.11% at 1,152.41 points, with a daily trading volume of 17.26 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.8890 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.8650 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 9.2970 from 9.2490, while one British pound traded for 10.2320 Turkish liras, up from 10.1540.
