Footage released recently by Turkey’s Health Ministry shows the production steps of human vaccine trials against coronavirus.
FIRST DOSES WILL BE GIVEN AFTER 5-DAYS QUARANTINE
Turkey said last week that it would register its first human vaccine trial for the novel coronavirus probably in two weeks. “The subjects will be given the first dose after being kept in quarantine for five days and undergoing all necessary examinations,” Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said at a news conference on Oct. 9.
Turkey is also taking part in clinical efforts related to vaccines produced in different countries and have reached the Phase 3 level in human trials.
Voluntary vaccine trials are being conducted in 25 centers across Turkey. If the Phase 3 trials are successful, the vaccine is expected to be ready for use at the beginning of 2021.
Earlier this week, a top scientist from The World Health Organization’s (WHO) said that coronavirus vaccines will probably be available in December or early 2021 for submission to regulators for approval.
