Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,124.67 points on Tuesday, up 0.31% or 3.50 points from the previous close.
BIST 100 INDEX RISES BY 3.5 POINTS FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 0.27% at 1,121.17 points, with a daily trading volume of 19.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 7.8170 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 7.7750 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 9.1230 from 9.0690, while one British pound traded for 10.0770 Turkish liras, down from 10.0760.
