Bulgarian tourists will no longer require a visa to visit Turkey, according to the country’s Official Gazette on Wednesday.
The visa exemption was approved for touristic purposes and transit passes with a maximum residence period of 90 days within 180 days.
Turkey and Bulgaria share friendly and neighborly relations as NATO allies.
The Turkish diaspora in Bulgaria also plays an important role in promoting political and economic relations between the two countries.
According to the data provided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, about 945,000 Bulgarian citizens visited Turkey in the first five months of 2022.
