Future Party leader paid a visit to the Turkish Ambassador of Brazil, Carlos Martins Ceglia, in the capital Ankara on Monday. During the 30-minute meeting at the embassy, they discussed the issue of Palestine.
“One of the most significant massacres in the history of humanity is unfolding in our immediate vicinity, in Gaza, Palestine,” Ahmet Davutoğlu told reporters following the meeting.
Davutoğlu pointed out several visits from different Western countries to Israel to show solidarity with the country. The US President Joe Biden, the UK Primer Minister Rishi Sunak and senior officials from the European Union met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s President Isaac Herzog.
“When we look at the recent visits to Israel, we can see that major global powers are visiting Israel in a manner that supports the brutality the country continues to impose,” Davutoğlu stated. “With this support, Israel’s military is perpetrating even more heinous crimes without respecting any humanitarian values.”
He said that they are actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
“We met with the United Nations Security Council President, Brazil’s Ambassador to Ankara, Carlos Martins Ceglia, to discuss the developments regarding Gaza,” the opposition figure added.

He said 15,273 people were also injured in the Israeli attacks.
