A Turkish company built a hospital in Iraq’s Maysan province.
Following the completion of the hospital, Iraq’s prime minister on Thursday inaugurated the new health facility in the southeastern city.
Premier Mohammed Shia al-Sudan participated in the opening of Al-Hekim Training and Research Hospital.
The hospital was constructed by the Turkish company Universal Acarsan, having a capacity of 600 beds.
Turkish architects, engineers, and workers took part in the construction of the hospital, which was built on an area of 80,000 square meters (some 861,000 square feet)
The total cost of building the hospital is $250 million.
Al-Sudani also inaugurated a power plant in Maysan.
In 2021, Iraq had a 492-bed capacity hospital that was inaugurated by then-prime minister Mustafa Al-Qazimi.
