Turkish and Azerbaijani armed forces are conducting a joint military exercise in eastern Turkey.
“Winter-2021 Turkey-Azerbaijan Combined Joint Battalion Task Force Exercise”, the most comprehensive winter drill in recent years is taking place in Kars province.
The drill which is taking place between Feb. 1 and Feb. 12, aims to feature domestically-produced weaponry and equipment.
Tank divisions, cannonries, sniper teams, personnel of the Special Forces Command, helicopters, and commandos are participating in the drill.

According to a statement, the drill is mostly focusing on operational capabilities during the harsh weather conditions of winter months, including practices of sheltering, reinforcement, maintenance, and educational development.
Also, ground and air assaults, airdrops, airborne operations, and logistic support are practiced by both militaries.
